What is a wa.me link?
wa.me is WhatsApp’s official click-to-chat host. Any link that starts with https://wa.me/ followed by a phone number opens a chat with that number — from a browser, or from inside another app like Instagram or TikTok.
What makes it useful: the person doesn’t need to save your number first. It’s the simplest way to accept orders from an Instagram bio, or run a WhatsApp-first storefront alongside your other socials.
How to use it

Enter your country code and number
Country code as digits only (966, not +966 or 00966). Drop any leading zero on the local number.

If you add one, the customer sees it typed for them and just taps send.

The link is ready to drop into your Instagram or TikTok bio. The QR is best for anything printed.
Questions
- Will my number be shown to anyone who opens the link?
- The link opens a WhatsApp chat with the number you typed. Anyone who taps it can message you, but they won't see your number directly until they save it from inside the chat.
- Do I need a WhatsApp Business account?
- No. It works with any WhatsApp number — personal or Business. Business gives you quick replies and a catalog, but the link itself works with both.
- Is the pre-filled message sent automatically?
- No. It appears in the chat's input box, and the person taps send themselves. WhatsApp doesn't allow automatic sending — which is a good thing, because it prevents spam.
- Does the link work inside the Instagram in-app browser?
- Yes. wa.me is WhatsApp's official format, so it opens the WhatsApp app directly even from inside the Instagram, TikTok, and Snapchat browsers.
